Where It All Began
We have all heard the phrase: If you can see it you can be it!
That's why, in 1978, when a young girl asked a simple question, “Why aren’t there any pictures of girls on baseball cards? It isn’t fair!” her mother and aunt took matters into their own hands.
Soon thereafter, supersisters™ was formed by real-life sisters Lois Rich and Barbara Egerman as a publisher of baseball-type trading cards featuring contemporary American women of achievement (“firsts in their field” and/or “significant prize winners”) that were often largely unknown to children as role models.
Decades later our mission remains — To celebrate the transformative power of pioneering women and the uncompromising spirit of girls everywhere and to inspire, educate and empower today’s youth to become the next women leaders.
Given the current cultural and political climate; the rise of female voices through coordinated movements; the impact of women’s marches around the globe; the elevated profiles of female business, political, entertainment, sports, and other industry leaders; the extraordinary success of biographical films, literature, and other media created by, for, and about powerful women we believe that now is the time to relaunch supersisters.™
We Continue to Rise
Today, we have reimagined throwback style supersisters™ logo apparel for you and your supersisters to wear in celebration of the transformative power of the pioneering women of the 1970’s and the uncompromising spirit of girls everywhere.
And, fueled by demand from our fans and as a pre-cursor to our full (re)launch of supersisters™ in 2022, supersisters™ is offering a limited-edition reprint of the uncut poster featuring the complete set of original 72 supersisters™ cards (circa 1979).
Join us as we celebrate the past, look to the future, and continue to create inspiration, innovation, and impact from the supersisters™ brand for years to come.
Proceeds from the poster and apparel sales will continue to help fund our (re)launch efforts for another generation of supersisters.
Wear and share pictures of you and your supersisters™ merch. Please tag us on social media!
