A COMEBACK STORY
Reintroducing
supersisters
Where It All Began
We have all heard the phrase: If you can see it you can be it!
That's why, in 1978, when a young girl asked a simple question, “Why aren’t there any pictures of girls on baseball cards? It isn’t fair!” her mother and aunt took matters into their own hands.
Soon thereafter, supersisters™ was formed by real-life sisters Lois Rich and Barbara Egerman as a publisher of baseball-type trading cards featuring contemporary American women of achievement (“firsts in their field” and/or “significant prize winners”) that were often largely unknown to children as role models.
Decades later our mission remains — To celebrate the transformative power of pioneering women and the uncompromising spirit of girls everywhere and to inspire, educate and empower today’s youth to become the next women leaders.
Given the current cultural and political climate; the rise of female voices through coordinated movements; the impact of women’s marches around the globe; the elevated profiles of female business, political, entertainment, sports, and other industry leaders; the extraordinary success of biographical films, literature, and other media created by, for, and about powerful women we believe that now is the time to relaunch supersisters.™
